Job Title:Order Selector - Graveyard

Department: Warehouse

Location: On-Site

Shift: 8-hour Shift, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM Monday-Friday with Rotational Saturday

Wage:Starts at base wage of $21.84/Hr

Position Overview: The Order Selector fills customer orders, tracks inventory, and loads and unlocks trucks for inbound and outbound shipments.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Fills customer orders in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Safely operates forklift throughout the warehouse.
  • Safely loads customer orders onto trucks under direct supervision.
  • Keeps warehouse neat and organized.
  • Escalates errors quickly to supervisor.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
  • Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
  • Other tasks and duties as may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Possesses good communication skills both written and orally.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team in an efficient self-motivated manner.
  • Possesses a good understanding of equipment and would be considered mechanically inclined.
  • Must become forklift certified and be able to demonstrate safe forklift operation and proficiency.
  • Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and Determination.
  • Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 1 or more years of forklift, preferably reach forklift, driving experience in the food manufacturing industry, AND
  • High school diploma or equivalent; OR
  • Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Frequently requires the ability to lift and stack items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Position may require standing for up to 4 hours at a time.

 

Work Environment:

  • The primary work environment for this position is within a fast-paced warehouse, where temperatures may fluctuate seasonally.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment in some areas of the warehouse.
  • Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
