Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Department: Sales

Location: Remote - Must reside in one of the following states: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or New York.

Shift: Monday - Friday 

Wage: $101,600 - $127,000 per year, depending on experience.

Position Overview: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for growing our business profitably with our distributors and retailers in both the conventional and natural retail trade.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish profitable sales growth within the assigned region against specified budgets and plans.
  • Build partnerships with key retailers, distributors, and stakeholders, and execute strategies to grow market share and brand presence.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve/exceed sales targets and to expand the BRM footprint through new and expanded distribution opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal partners to collaborate on selling tools, strategies and guidelines.
  • Identify and execute customer promotional plans in line with assigned budget.
  • Participate in consumer, distributor and retail shows and tabletops, regionally and nationally.
  • Coach, mentor, and train brokers and employees to achieve goals and growth.
  • Execute all sales policies, practices, and procedures with sales team and relevant business partners.
  • Establish strategic relationships with trading partners and brokers.
  • Manage and motivate team members to accomplish initiatives and goals.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has direct oversight of Territory Managers and Retail Specialists.
  • This position reports to Division Sales Manager.

  • Ability to travel frequently within a large geographic area.
  • Thorough understanding of category management.
  • Skilled in interactive negotiation.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to use advanced Excel functions, including but not limited to formulas, pivot tables, and graphs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate information in English.
  • Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and Determination.
  • Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 5 or more years of experience selling to large conventional and natural retail sales customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Experience working with distributors in conventional, specialty and natural foods.
  • CPG Broker Management experience required.

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Position requires the ability to sit for up to approximately two hours at a time.
  • May be required to lift items weighing up to twenty-five pounds.

 

Work Environment:

  • The primary work environment for this position is within an at-home office setting. There are no adverse conditions associated with this position. 
  • Frequent business travel required.
  • Employees may be exposed to common food allergens.
